We recently went to Barbados for a Family Reunion and had the pleasure of staying at Harpers Villa. The Villa is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and is truly a :"Gem" of Barbados. We especially like the open floor plan and definitely the 6 terraces. With 8 of us staying together, we had the option of being together as a group, or just spending some quiet time alone being absorbed by the spectacular ocean views which could be seen from the various terraces. The beach is close by and there are several shops and restaurants for you to visit. The Management Company in Barbados provided great customer service. We received a warm welcome and was given a tour of the Villa so that we would become familiar throughout - great job! We have not met the owners, but they were very courteous, responsive and professional in our communications with them. Harpers will definitely be our vacation home away from home in Beautiful Barbados.
What you see is what you get! Spacious, Clean, Modern and Safe Villa!
My family and I just returned from staying at Harpers and can’t stop from talking about it. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and was shown where everything was; within minutes we felt like we were at home. I can’t say enough about how spacious and beautiful the Villa is; it is a true reflection of luxurious Caribbean living. What I loved the most was the 6 terraces; it gave you the option to gather with the family or escape for some “me time”. The beach is less than a 5 minute drive away and Holetown is very close by (check out the Limegrove Mall if you have a chance!). We even entertain friends during our stay! I must say they were equally impressed and loved the décor and layout. If you’re looking for a luxurious vacation rental with your family or friends, you don’t have to look any further. I will definitely be booking again for next year!
Being a part of a wedding party of 9 people, Harpers Villa was the perfect fit for us. Some were only able to make it for three days of a six day semi-semi-vacation by real vacation standards, but at the Harpers Villa the feeling of being at home didn't take more than a few hours once we got past the process of being familiar with the way things work. Even though we are a family of togetherness the atmosphere of simplicity and ease existed to allow each of us to have individuality as a couple and as a portion of the family when necessary. The customer service was prompt when we had any requests, and at the same time not existent when we did Not have a need for service. We felt nevertheless comfortable knowing that service was available for whatever needs we had. For us it was our second visit to the Island so we had an idea what to look for and where to find it most of the time. We enjoy Cooking, and Dining-in/at home more than going to the restaurants, for there is really a wide variety of fruits, ground provisions, fish, lots of coconut water to keep the body cool in the Sun's heat, and much more to satisfy our vegetarian or meat eating regimen. We went to one restaurant called, "DAPHNES" that provided very good service, and had lots of variety for a our group. Except for the beach, and some shopping we did not have enough time to explore the multiple attractions and activities this visit. We are looking forward for the next time. All in all the listing description was accurate regarding the layout, facilities, as well as the property was clean and well maintained. As for the location, even though perched on a hill overlooking the tranquil waters and westerly Views Harpers' Villa is a secret that should be known and experienced by all who can keep secrets to preserve serenity for the serene.
The house and accommodations were fantastic. My family and I had a fantastic time on the island and being able to stay at your home made all the difference.
Upon arrival we called and the meet and greet process went very well. The house was clean and the tour of the house was very helpful.
My wife and I rented the beautiful Harpers villa for our honeymoon in May 2011. We were looking for a memorable place and it certainly didnt let us down. The villa is well equipped, spacious and has views overlooking the caribbean sea. We would recommend hiring a car as this will enable you to see all aspects of the diverse and friendly island including the truly stunning beaches. Whilst we were there, at times we would have the beach to ourselves as there are so many to choose from, whilst we found the west coast has some of the best (sea is alot calmer as well) I would encourage visitors to visit some on the east and south coasts including the world famous crane beach. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone and would love to return one day. Lee and Audrey Harper are very helpful and the management company in Barbados are more than happy to help.
My wife and i have stayed in Barbados for the Last 19 years and this was the best holiday we have had, the Villa was better than the pictures showed everything was there. . the location was fantastic but i would suggest a car .we use Coconut cars they are very helpful and heather is a lovely lady. the villa was clean and tidy just what you want, Lee and Audrey could not be more helpful very nice people. Thomas also called Earl was the gardener come handyman once again was great .very friendly as all the locals are here i would recommend this villa to all my friends its great and we are in the process of re-booking for this year Barbados has some great restaurants and bars couple that we really like that are worth a visit are Champers near St Lawrence Gap and also one that we really like and that is Harlequins St Lawrence Gap also one in Holetown called the Cariba its differnet but nice they are a little slow on service but you get there in the end i hope this will be help and if you do go to Barbados make sure get out and about its very safe Enjoy Steve and Grace Cowling uk
When I found the villa on the internet, I honestly thought they'd be a catch, I mean the photo's looked amazing and the rental price was competitive! When we arrived we were not disappointed and we even named the villa the 'Hello! Villa'. It is absolutely stunning! I think all of us walked around in awe for the first day and other friends that came to visit us were certainly as impressed as what we were! The views from the villa are second to none! The location of the villa is good although a car is necessary. The drive to Holetown is only a matter of minutes but down a long-ish winding hill which a couple of us walked at times. There is a walking short cut down to the main road which is handy for the buses. We would rent the villa again in a heartbeat and if (when) I return again, I will, without a doubt, see if I can rent it. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and answered all of my questions quickly. They even went out of their way to provide me with some extras which meant I didn't have to bring them from the UK.
We stayed in the Villa back in October and had the most amazing time. The location is exactly where you would want to be. It is five minutes to the beach and has the most amazing views. I had to pinch myself a couple of times, even walking from the bedroom along the hallway you look out onto the Caribbean Sea. The place is a fabulous destination, I even proposed to my girlfriend there. The house is very secure and would suit many couples or a large family. You have everything you need. It is like home from home, BUT, Paradise.. I would love to go there again.
We were lucky enough to have a fabulous 2 weeks here back in Oct 2009.The villa is everything you could ask for to enjoy a luxury Caribbean holiday. The location is ideal, close to all of the local amenities,bars/restaurants,and of course the beautiful white sandy beaches. The Villa is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. As we holidayed with my 2 year old son we found the villa to also be very child friendly, which was great bonus. The views from all around are breathtaking and adds to the true Caribbean experience which you can enjoy here.I would highly recommend this villa for all types of holiday makers, ideal for families but also an amazing romantic location for couples. We had a wonderful family holiday in Barbados and want to Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa with us. Nicola,Gary & Theo
